OUCH!

Okay…I whined about it enough to Annette and Steve so now I have to do it on here. I went to Annette’s so we could attend our Spinning Class (stationary bicycles…they really work you hard!). I was carrying Evie down her stairs to go get my shoes and WHAM! On the first step down I slipped in my socks and hit hard on my butt, landing on the 5th or 6th stair. Poor Evie was scared but not hurt. I, on the other hand, am suffering from a VERY sore buttocks. We went to our class anyway and once we started that soreness was replaced by “saddle soreness” from the constant bumping of my butt and the bicycle seat (yes, that’s supposed to happen). But, once we made it back to Annette’s…noodle legs and saddle sore…the previous soreness hurt more. And now I’m bruised and sore and whiny and I want my mommy! 🙁

My Brain Hurts!

So, I took my first Geology test last night and boy, oh boy does my brain hurt! I haven’t had to study like that in over 3 years! I’m so out of practice. I’m enjoying my class but there’s SO MUCH info to go over and understand that it just hurts. I got a 78% but hopefully next time I’ll study over a long period of time and not just for 3 days before the test. PLUS, I should have new books to tempt me as much…I hope. 🙂

So I haven’t read in a long time…due to my addiction to digi scrapping. Coley let me borrow (actually, Natalie let me borrow) the book Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. What a great book! I was addicted from the beginning preface. I finished in 1 day (yes, I’m a stay home mom so I actually have the option to read that much…AND I even did one load of laundry! I know, not much but now that I’m finished with this book and I’m waiting for the next I have time to clean…even though I’d prefer not to!) There are two books to follow…I just have to borrow them once they’re available (and eventually I’ll get my own copies!) SO GOOD!

Twilight cover

Isabella Swan’s move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella’s life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife — between desire and danger. Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Saw this...thought it was funny. :)

My son’s a CTR.....................I go to PEC.

I work for CES...................I study the TG.

I read the B of M............I probe the D&C.

I search the KJV.............I ponder the JST.

Today in BYC we planned for EFY.

I stayed a little after and had a PPI.

The YM & YW are putting on a play.

It’s one that I remember..we did in MIA.

Before our oldest son went in the MTC.

He helped the BSA complete their SME.
Soon our oldest daughter is heading for the Y.

Soon our oldest clothing is going to DI.

Now, if you’ve understood this alphabetic mess,

The chances are quite good that you are LDS

So I’m really excited about the ad I did (shown below). They are talking about putting in on the back of a black t-shirt! I know it’s boasting but I feel so darn proud of it! 🙂

So I’m having so much fun creating flyers for Steve’s Utah Open Source group. They are having a conference in September so I’ve been helping out, seeing if I have the ‘knack’ for digital media…which is what I think I want to study at school now. Here’s my favorite that I’ve done so far:

New Calling

Well, I now have 3 callings! (I should have hidden in Nursery like Steve does!!!) Today I was called to be in Achievement Days with the 8-11 year old girls. I’m pretty excited because Annette is in the same calling in her ward and I’ve been helping her get ideas for upcoming activities. SO, this should be fun! I also had my first meeting today as a Visiting Teaching supervisor (they got the calling wrong at the beginning…asked if I’d be the coordinator. Supervisor is less stressful!). AND, at the moment I’m still the Playgroup Specialist. SO, hopefully I won’t feel overwhelmed but I think they’re considering releasing me from Playgroup. That’s fine too…I’ll still help if they want me to. I’m excited for the Achievement Days though – I always thought it’d be fun being with the younger girls and maybe one day in Young Womens. I had this calling right after Steve and I were married so I wasn’t thrilled about it right then but I am now. So…yeah. That’s my new calling!
