Well, now that we’re all feeling better and getting back into the swing of things I can finally get some pictures up of Spencer’s birthday party!

 We started off playing outside on the big toys, then hit a baseball and kick a soccer ball to earn stickers.

Next we ate lunch. We had finger foods (crackers, cheese, lunch meats, chips, soda). Afterwards we headed downstairs to shoot the basketball and throw a football. The kids had so much fun playing with Annette’s toys that we didn’t really end up doing more sports. Instead we let them play and we adults sat around talking.

 We ended with cake and ice cream. If you saw the video Leona put up (I have the link below), you already know Reid blew the candles out for Spencer. He was a little sad but we re-lite the candles and Spencer blew them out. After a day of fun we headed home for naps. I was sick so I was really ready to sleep. Afterwards we surprised Spencer with a few more gifts.

 He was so excited to get Woody and Buzz from Toy Story. Now he has a tough time getting them out of Evie’s grip of death.

Alrighty everyone. I finally got proof (in January) about how much Evie gets scared of the Cabbage Patch Doll when it’s in the bath (she plays with it out of the water).  Enjoy!

Last night we had Steve’s parents over for dinner.  Afterward, we played games and ate chocolate. Evie, being the kid she is, got extremely messy. I started a bubble bath and put both Spencer and Evie in to play. I walked back and forth between the kitchen and bathroom (every minute) to check on them and see if it was my turn to play yet. Evie got a little fussy because the Cabbage Patch doll was in the water (she’s still scared of it) so I went in to check on her. She decided she wanted out. I put her diaper and pjs on her and she took off to the bathroom again. I watched as she played with the toys while standing on the floor. I went back to the kitchen and next heard Spencer crying. I ran inside to see if he slipped in the water and what did I happen to see?

Evie decided she was NOT ready to get out and wanted back in. We all got a good laugh from it…well, maybe not Spencer.

Evie has more teeth coming in! This time it’s her 2nd position, bottom left (or is it right?) side and another molar. Yikes!

Spencer, Evie and Stephen went to Grammer and Grandpa’s house on Saturday to hang out and so Steve could look for a few books. As Spencer tells it “I in kitchen. Jadyn in livn room. I run to livn room. Jadyn run to kitchen. We crash in middle.” What a pretty bruise!

So the other day I looked at Evie and I thought she had cheese in her mouth. Realizing I didn’t give her any, I decided to take a closer look. Nope…not cheese but instead a MOLAR tooth! No wonder she’s been a little cranky! She hasn’t even got her left canine tooth yet and here she is already pushing through molars! What a surprise!

{Spencer} No. I naughty sometimes.

Sweet Evie got a bath time Cabbage Patch doll for Christmas. She has a little float ring and shower squirter. Very cute. The kids were in the bath today and Spencer decided to give the doll a little shower. As he was playing with it he ended up twisting it’s head around…he never did it before and he thought it was pretty cool.  Unfortunately, Evie didn’t. She started crying and had a sad, scared look on her face. I told Spencer not to do it anymore because it scares Evie. Later I told Steve and he got the doll out of the tub. Evie was sitting on my lap and as soon as she saw what he was holding she turned around and started climbing up me and hiding against me. Poor Evie…she’ll be scarred for a while! (Funny, but still sad)
