Evie and Spencer got dressed up in their Halloween costumes today so I could take a few pictures. I must say…my kids are so dang cute!
Lukie had his 2nd birthday party tonight. He was so cute! We had dinner (which was eventful because Evie got a hold of my plate, dropped it and it shattered…and I mean SHATTERED…all over the ground! What a mess maker!), opened presents, then had cake and ice cream. Let’s see…Lukie got a few books, a toy car, a Little People’s airplane, a ball pit, and there are a few presents still in transit so he’ll open them later. A huge ball fight (150+ balls!) started downstairs and another mess was made…one that was much easier to clean up! Luke was so cute with his cake. He let us sing to him and blew out his candles on the first try. He was just so cute! Here are a few pics…
We went to the Vinyard PumpkinLand with some of our friends. After going through the corn maze, seeing the farm animals, playing on the playground and going through a light maze we stopped at the pumpkins to take a few pictures and pick out a few to take home. My kids are cute so I had to post pictures!
So Chris and Julie finally had their baby boy! I’m so excited for them! Julie had a c-section (which was a good thing since he was a big baby!) Let’s see…I believe he was 21 1/2 inches, 8 lbs. 13 oz, and a 37 inch head. We went to visit them in the hospital today. Here are some pics.
We had so much *cold* fun at the BYU football game! We were able to leave the kids at their Grandma and Grandpa’s (thanks Alec and Pat!). We knew it was going to be cold but it got really cold! The game was great and so was the hot chocolate. We all had fun trying to keep different things warm. I gave myself shin splints trying to keep my toes warm! Here are some pics…
Height: 28 1/2 inches (25%)
Weight: 20 lbs 2.5 oz. (30%)
Head: 45 cm (50%)
Evie is STILL anemic. I didn’t do very well giving her the iron supplement mixed with fluoride from her last visit. I have a new supplement I need to give her 3x daily or else at her 15 month appointment they’ll have to take blood from her arm again (that was not a fun experience!)
She’s healthy other than that though!
Here are some recent things Spencer has said that just make me laugh:
To Evie: “You’re buggin’ me crazy” (I think she was following him from room to room)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mommy: “Do you want a cheese stick?”
Spencer: “Sure Sure” (he gets that from his Grandma and Grandpa)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spencer: “I want that.” (a toy on a commercial)
Mommy: “Maybe…we’ll have to ask Santa to get it for you for Christmas.”
{later}
Spencer: “Get that for Halloween?”
Mommy: “Not for Halloween…but maybe we’ll ask Santa for Christmas.”
Okay…I whined about it enough to Annette and Steve so now I have to do it on here. I went to Annette’s so we could attend our Spinning Class (stationary bicycles…they really work you hard!). I was carrying Evie down her stairs to go get my shoes and WHAM! On the first step down I slipped in my socks and hit hard on my butt, landing on the 5th or 6th stair. Poor Evie was scared but not hurt. I, on the other hand, am suffering from a VERY sore buttocks. We went to our class anyway and once we started that soreness was replaced by “saddle soreness” from the constant bumping of my butt and the bicycle seat (yes, that’s supposed to happen). But, once we made it back to Annette’s…noodle legs and saddle sore…the previous soreness hurt more. And now I’m bruised and sore and whiny and I want my mommy!
