So Alec and Pat felt they needed a second opinion on test results that said he now has lung cancer (after having colorectal cancer). Lung cancer is terminal – I think they said 3 to 10 years. After getting a doctor’s opinion from New York (I think the same doctor they had for the colorectal cancer) we’re all feeling much better about it. He says he believes they are benign! We’ve all felt calm about it since we heard that he had cancer…of course I felt sad about the fact that Spencer and Evie and our future children wouldn’t have their grandpa around but if they are benign that’d be even better!
Saw this...thought it was funny. :)
My son’s a CTR.....................I go to PEC. I work for CES...................I study the TG. I read the B of M............I probe the D&C. I search the KJV.............I ponder the JST. Today in BYC we planned for EFY. I stayed a little after and had a PPI. The YM & YW are putting on a play. It’s one that I remember..we did in MIA. Before our oldest son went in the MTC. He helped the BSA complete their SME.
Soon our oldest daughter is heading for the Y. Soon our oldest clothing is going to DI. Now, if you’ve understood this alphabetic mess, The chances are quite good that you are LDS
So Steve’s Aunt Barbara and Uncle David are so nice. They offered us their 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan for free. It may be 12 years old but we’re okay with that. Poor Steve has had to live with his ’95 Honda for so long now…not that it’s a horrible car but the driver’s seat has a bar poking out and giving him back problems. So, the van should help out.
So I was working on the dishes today and Evie, who loves the dishwasher, started climbing inside. I told her to get down, then I helped her down, and after two more attempts to climb inside I told him she was bugging me.
Spencer, who asks a lot, says, “What happen mommy?”
I said, “Oh…Evie’s just bugging me.”
Spencer says, “I’m sorry mommy.” (So sweet!)
I said, “It’s okay Spencer, it’s not your fault.”
Spencer replies, “No…It’s YOUR fault mommy.”
How true and from the mouth of babes! He’s such a funny little guy who loves to know ‘what’s happening’.
Steve’s buddy, Bryan, is here visiting us from New Jersey. Steve picked Bryan up from the airport yesterday later afternoon. They came home to pick up me and the kids then off to Red Robin for dinner. Just like Bryan…hitting on the waitress and getting her number. Typical (and funny to watch too!). 🙂 We’re hoping to drag him up a mountain or maybe up to the “Y.” This should be a fun few days.
So, after 3 weeks Evie’s 5th tooth has come through! She now has 4 teeth on top, 1 tooth on bottom. Yippee!
So I’m really excited about the ad I did (shown below). They are talking about putting in on the back of a black t-shirt! I know it’s boasting but I feel so darn proud of it! 🙂
So Evie has learned to wave and it’s so dang cute. She usually waves to daddy but one day I’ll get a picture of her waving from me. 🙂
I’m so very excited for Spencer! He is now to the point where he will stay in nursery and not cry when Steve or I leave. The past few Sundays Steve has taken Evie and after 15 minutes the first Sunday and 5 minutes the second Sunday I’d say “I’ve got to go feed Evie. I’ll be back later.” and he’d be okay and do a wonderful job. Today I walked Spencer into nursery, encouraged him to find a toy, and said “Mommy wants to go to class now, is that okay?” He thought for a second and said, “Okay mommy.” I told him I loved him, walked out and went to class. He did wonderful! He is so excited when we come pick him up – he shows us the picture he colored and on the walk home tells us what songs he sings and what they had for snack time. I’m SO STINKIN’ HAPPY!
